January Beginning Beekeeping Class

Our annual Beginning Beekeeper Class is a one-day event that takes place in January and serves as an introduction to the basics of beekeeping. Participants will learn about the history and life cycle of honey bees, types of bee hives, various beekeeping equipment, and common diseases.

This class is FREE and includes an auction, which is part of our annual fundraising efforts. This years class will be held Saturday Jan.28th 2023, Please RSVP as

Bee Intensive On Hold for 2023

Our annual Bee Intensive is held in early spring and presents a full day of hands-on workshops focusing on many advanced beekeeping techniques.

The event is organized in a ’round robin’ format and attendees are divided into groups. Workshops rotate on an hourly basis throughout the day, so that every participant can attends 5 workshops.

In conjunction with the more advanced workshops, an intermediate/beginning beekeeper class is also offered that will last half of the day. At the end of the intermediate/beginning class, participants may attend an advanced workshop of their choice.

There are beekeeping supply vendors on site, as well as special guests. There is an auction, and lunch is provided.
